About Power Up!

 

Power Up! is the theme of the Poly Libraries’ inaugural event to champion Digital Literacy and Media Literacy. As the theme implies, power up is used to boost the learning power of the Poly campus communities in their lifelong learning with competencies to help them stay ahead in their studies and career. We bring you a suite of competencies under Digital Life @ PolysTM one-stop framework on cognitive skills, emerging technologies, safety & wellness and staying ahead. Our offerings include e-Learning packages, events, activities, learning journey and curated guides.

The logo is represented by:

  • Tree trunks (in lines) - symbolizes life and growth for the 5 Poly Libraries (NP, NYP, RP, SP, TP) to work together and reach out to their Polys communities.
  • Gear to depict the leaves - symbolises movement and connectivity among the Poly Libraries
  • Tree root and branches - The tree root shows that the students are firmly grounded to embrace the skills in the Polys. The circuit lines that depict the branches show the various competencies that students can acquire under Digital Life @ PolysTM which are offered by the Poly Libraries


   

About Mike & AL - Digital Life @ PolysTM Mascots

 
Mike represents a typical Poly student who is eager to embrace life in the Digital World. He is accompanied by his futuristic robotic friend, AL who represents a smart friend that help him embrace the digital world together.

Mike & AL will pop up at each step of your digital transformative journey as a reminder that you are not alone. They are here to boost your spirit that future technologies (which is symbolized by a robot) will become an integral part of your student life.
